My established client is seeking a qualified and experienced Health, Safety, and Environmental Manager to ensure the company's compliance with all necessary requirements for good practice and regulatory standards in the areas of Health, Safety, and Environmental management.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with company HSE policies, procedures, and regulations, including inspecting and using equipment correctly.
  • Promptly report accidents, incidents, and near misses while effectively communicating with third parties and regulatory bodies.
  • Guide compliance with contractor control requirements and manage hazardous substances and CoSHH compliance.
  • Develop, review, and implement Health and Safety policies, focusing on continuous improvement.
  • Control HSE and Environmental Management Systems, manage the HSE budget, and oversee the auditing program.
  • Demonstrate exemplary HSE practices, identify training needs, and lead improvement projects.
  • Chair Health & Safety Committee, facilitate Management Health and Safety Meetings, and manage the recording and investigation of incidents, accidents, and near misses.
  • Ensure optimal manufacturing and delivery quality, investigate non-conformances, and apply lean techniques for operational efficiency.
  • Understand and review the HSE budget, identify opportunities for improved HSE performance, and lead teams toward organizational goals.
  • Foster a culture of learning from deviations, instill workplace pride, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Represent the company to external visitors, possess IT skills, and handle project management responsibilities.

Education & Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent; Ideally a member of IOSH.
  • Degree Qualified or equivalent experience.
  • ILM level 5 Leadership and management or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in manufacturing
  • Knowledge of managing quality and document management systems.
  • Proven track record in Process Safety Management.
