Reed are working with a market leading manufacturer who are seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Manager to oversee and enforce their company’s health and safety policies. This role is crucial in maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health and safety management, with a proven track record of reducing risks and fostering a culture of safety within an organisation.

The Health and Safety Manager will...

  • Develop and implement health and safety plans, data capture, and ongoing analysis.
  • Oversee and enforce all health and safety policies within the company to ensure compliance with current legislation.
  • Conduct risk assessments and enforce preventative measures.
  • Review existing policies and measures and update according to legislation.
  • Initiate and organise OHS training of employees and executives.
  • Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity.
  • Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management.

The successful Health and Safety Manager will have...

  • Proven experience as a Health and Safety Manager.
  • Deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines.
  • Ability in producing reports and developing relevant policies.
  • Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment.
  • Excellent organisational and motivational skills.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Valid qualification in occupational health and safety.
