Reed Further Education are working with a college based in Birmingham who deliver vocational training and professional development. They are seeking a Health and Safety Lecturer to deliver Site Safety Plus courses. This on-demand role is ideal for trainers who excel in adapting content to meet cohort needs and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

The role can be based in different locations that suit the needs of the students. It can be at the colleges site at Bordesley Green, a conference hall in the city or employer site.

Job Title: Health and Safety Lecturer

Position: Part-Time, Casual Hours

Role type: Temporary Ongoing

Location: Birmingham

Rate: £35p/h - £45p/h including holiday pay

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Deliver engaging and informative Site Safety Plus training sessions to prepared cohorts.
  • Tailor training content to the specific needs and backgrounds of each group.
  • Maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations throughout the training process.
  • Provide constructive feedback and support to participants to facilitate their success.
  • Collaborate with clients to ensure the smooth operation and effectiveness of the programme.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Hold a relevant health and safety qualification such as NEBOSH or NCRQ at Level 6 or equivalent.
  • A formal teaching/training qualification, at least Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) or a CITB recognised exemption.
  • For new trainers, a current certificate at or above the level of the Site Safety Plus course they will be delivering.
  • Proven experience in delivering safety-related training programmes.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to participant success.
  • Ability to work independently and manage training logistics.
