£80,000 per annum + Bonus

REQUIREMENTS
It is essential that all applicants must:
Have previous experience as a Headteacher in a specialist school or mainstream setting.
Have a strong track record of good or outstanding Ofsted inspection ratings.
Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

It would be desirable that applicants:
Have completed their NPQH.

THE ROLE
Compass Associates are proud to be working with an established national provider of specialist schools and children's care services to find a Headteacher for their Wigan-based school for children with social, emotional and mental health needs, challenging behaviour, and autism. The successful candidate will lead an established staff team, maintaining the school's high standards and enabling the best possible outcomes for pupils, while effectively managing the school's finances and referrals.

THE CANDIDATE
Our client is seeking applicants who are experienced Headteachers/Principals, preferably from within the specialist sector, who have a firm grasp of the current Ofsted framework, accompanied by a history of good or outstanding ratings. As an experienced leader in the specialist education sector, you will know how to effectively deploy staff and foster a culture of continuous improvement in the school.

INTERVIEW PROCESS
Two stages:
A formal Teams interview consisting of a presentation.
An informal interview with the Managing Director.
