Head of Year - Permanent
Do you have experience as a Head of Year or Pastoral Lead? Do you want to work at an Ofsted Outstanding School, with good behaviour and a track record of academic success? This Secondary School in North Birmingham is looking to appoint a Head of Year to its experienced pastoral team.

This school has an excellent reputation for providing a high standard of education for students, and this is measured by its outstanding results and brilliant Ofsted. As a Head of Year, you will need to be a strong communicator, possess excellent behaviour management skills and, be adept at providing mentoring for students who have struggled to engage.

Job Role:
  • Providing behavioural and pastoral support for a year group.
  • Delivering 1-2-1 intervention sessions focused on improving behaviours and personal development and attainment.
  • Effectively communicating with parents, carers and outside agencies.
  • Working with a small team of experienced Head of Years and pastoral staff to provide outstanding support for all students.
  • Attending safeguarding meetings with the DSL and safeguarding team.
  • Ensuring that students are supported effectively across your assigned year group.
