Blair West supports Crafter's Companion, a creative and arts company, based in the North East. Founded by Sara Davies, Crafter’s Companion designs, develops and manufactures innovative art and crafts. With in-house television production, a dominant position in the crafting industry, and a highly visible founder, Crafters Companion is a content powerhouse. As Head of Social Media, you will be responsible for leveraging those capabilities into a comprehensive social media strategy to shape the company’s digital presence and drive audience engagement across all relevant social media platforms and communities.

You will lead a team of social media professionals, managing multiple social media platforms and analysing performance metrics to optimise social media campaigns. You will be responsible for all social media activities, metrics, and results.

The opportunity:
  • Social Media Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with the company's consumer, marketing and business objectives.
  • Identify the target audience, where they interact across the digital landscape, and how to engage and co-opt them into our crafting community.
  • Lead the creation and curating of high-quality, engaging content for social media platforms, including text, images, videos, and other multimedia formats.
  • Develop and implement an ambassador/influencer strategy to drive reach and engagement to our target audiences.
  • Work with internal and external partners to identify and work with potential ambassadors/influencers.
  • Develop and deliver clear strategic objectives and performance metrics for influencer programs using data-driven platforms and analytics.
  • Monitor social media channels for brand mentions, comments, and messages and ensure prompt and professional responses.

  • Data-driven, constantly testing and optimising performance, setting and achieving target metrics, and able to turn ideas into practical solutions.
