Job Title: Head of Service, Safeguarding, Quality, Practice and Supportive Services

Job description: Venn Group are working on behalf of a Local Authority based in South Yorkshire to recruit a Head of Service, Safeguarding, Quality, Practice and Supportive Services on a temporary, hybrid basis. The successful candidate must have a Social Work Qualification and a Professional Registration with Social Work England

Duties:

  • Having responsibility for the effective and efficient operation and delivery of services which have a direct impact on partnership working, quality assurance, performance, learning and workforce, and wider supportive and complimentary services including voice and participation, therapeutic support and FGC
  • Driving the quality of social work practice across Children and Young People’s Services, working with services, workforce development and other internal and external partners to ensure the continued improvement in services, supporting innovation and good practice
  • Leading and developing a range of specialist professionals and associated service support activity
  • Developing a customer-focused service that is responsive and flexible with regard to a variety of internal customer needs and delivered to a high standard
  • Producing whole Council strategies which support the internal management of the Council
  • Leading on multi-agency partnerships; working with the relevant organisations/stakeholders involved in protection processes including Health, Police and schools to ensure safe and effective information sharing and joint working

Rate: £670 per day
