The People Of: Marketing is seeking a Head of Retail Partnerships to lead third-party sales for our client; an established Yorkshire-based apparel retailer with a strong UK presence.

What we are looking for?

A highly commercial individual in the Yorkshire region to lead third-party channels via Marketplaces, Wholesale & Partnerships channels for our highly regarded client. This opportunity will suit someone comfortable with forging new partnerships, negotiating win-win agreements and delivering results.

Our client is an established retailer historically bricks & mortar which has evolved into a multi-channel retailer encompassing multiple own brands. A company of heritage within the Yorkshire region with an excellent reputation of supporting local communities. A known high street presence with multiple brands they are committed to excellence and innovation, with a focus on delivering high-quality products to their customers.

Role Overview:

This is a diverse role and a highly commercial one. Although our client retails direct to consumer via bricks & mortar and eCommerce this role will seek to grow & develop other channels such as marketplaces, wholesale channels and retail partnerships. You’ll need a track record in doing just this and a solid understanding of how to identify partners where mutually beneficial deals can be struck. Aside from this you’ll manage existing ones and know how to manage these optimally ultimately growing revenue via these channels.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive third-party channel strategy aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with key online marketplaces, wholesale buyers, and other potential retailers.
  • Lead and motivate a high-performing team of partnership and marketplace colleagues.
  • Negotiate and manage partnership agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Oversee the onboarding and ongoing management of third-party partners, offering support and guidance for success.
  • Monitor and optimize performance across all third-party channels, driving sales and profitability.
  • Manage the budget and resources allocated to third-party channels effectively.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders across various departments.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to third-party channels.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, managing third-party retailers and marketplaces.
  • Demonstrated success in scaling sales and profitability through strategic partnerships.
  • Proficient negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

This Head of Retail Partnerships opportunity is based in the Yorkshire region in either York or Leeds. A degree of flexible working is on offer as is a competitive salary commensurate with experience.
