An exciting opportunity has come up for a Head of People for my client located in Dover. As the Head of People you will play a pivotal role in shaping their workforce strategies and contributing to the company's continued growth. This role is fully office based Monday - Friday.

Who we are looking for:
  • Previous experience working at a Senior HR level for a large organisation
  • You will have experience of making positive changes within a company and managing that process from start to finish
  • Experienced and proactive HR professional with an ability to implement risk management strategies for the benefit of the organisation and workforce
  • Versatile experience in handling a range of complex people matters
  • An understanding of compliance in relation to staffing and onboarding and how regulated organisations can maintain compliance throughout employment lifecycle.
  • Hold a CIPD Membership (level 5 or above)
  • In depth knowledge of UK employment legislation
  • Experience in a regulated industry is essential for this role (Social Care preferably)
  • Familiar with Levy and Apprenticeship schemes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of the HR and Learning & Development department
  • Management of recruitment strategies ensuring required skill sets are in situ across all areas of the business - including through the Visa & Immigration sponsorship programme
  • Strategic lead for the L&D of the workforce & coordination of the L&D team members in the facilitation of training
  • Oversight of HR Processes - Investigations/Disciplinaries/ and Grievances where necessary
  • Advice on employment law to facilitate business needs whilst ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks
  • Work alongside senior staff on projects involving policies and procedures
  • Support the management of people related risk within the organisation, including risk assessments and the health, safety and wellbeing of the workforce
