At Another we are currently looking for an experienced Head of People to lead a small HR business partnering and people service delivery teams at their site in Preston. This is new role and will be key to driving and delivering crucial elements of the people strategy alongside providing an operational day to day people service. 

The Role

  • Work under the guidance of the Chief People Officer to translate HR strategy into clear objectives that are aligned to the future needs and future goals of the business.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate people initiatives into the overall business strategy.
  • Coaching and developing the HR team, whilst being key in supporting and providing operational HR support on a wide range of HR activities.
  • Provide a high-quality business partnering service and act as a trusted advisor whilst building credible stakeholder relationships, providing coaching support and development to managers as required.
  • Supporting the Chief People Officer and managers with the effective management of people related issues, including complex ER and case management.
  • Manage the compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and compliance.
  • Supporting with Employee Engagement and Health & Wellbeing initiatives.
  • Review and develop best practice and hr service offering and processors.
  • Supporting the development and embedding of new HR initiative.
  • Provide statistical and management information. Analysis, and trends that support business decisions.
  • Supporting the Chief People Officer and working on HR projects appropriately.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience of working at the level of a Senior HR Business Partner ideally gained within a fast-paced changing commercial environment.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management experience
  • Experience of managing and leading a team
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law
  • Adept at navigating a changing and evolving environment
  • Experience of managing projects in a growing environment, including employee engagement and health and wellbeing initiative.
  • You have excellent written, visualisation and verbal communication skills, and can easily simplify complex analytics and concepts into compelling narratives.
