Jarrolds is a recognised across Norfolk for quality, innovation, service, and their contribution to the local community.  To further enhance customer experience across everything they do, Jarrolds will be developing an own brand offering focused on local products / services, the highest quality, and with a connection to Norfolk.  Pure are proud to be recruiting this newly created position on behalf of Jarrolds to lead the design, selection, curation, and procurement of a diverse range of own brand products for the business. 

As Head of Own Brand, you will play an integral part in shaping the own brand identity, driving innovation, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products that resonate with both our target audience and with a view to driving new and broader audiences in an omnichannel environment. 

Daily duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for own brand product design and procurement.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, consumer preferences and competitor offerings to inform product strategy. 
  • Own and develop the take-to-market strategy which provides opportunity for rapid growth outside the current audience.
  • Lead the design process.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, external designers, and suppliers to create own brand products to align with market trends, quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Create a diverse product portfolio that reflects the brand’s identity and meets the evolving needs of the customers.
  • Identify and establish strong relationships with key suppliers, manufacturers, and vendors.
  • Negotiate terms, pricing, and agreements.
  • Monitor supplier performance, ensuring adherence to quality standards and delivery schedules. 
  • Implement and maintain a robust quality assurance and compliance process.
  • Develop and manage budgets without compromising product quality. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams where necessary.

The successful candidate will have exceptional leadership skills with the ability to lead from the front.  You will be creative, innovative and have experience procuring own brand products from start to finish.  You will be a team player who embraces change and a fast-paced environment.
