Prospero Teaching are currently seeking a highly experienced and dedicated individual Head of Maths to join alternative provision in South Norwood.

This full-time position offers a salary paid to scale, with QTS essential.


Responsibilities:


* Lead and manage the Maths department, overseeing curriculum development and implementation.
* Provide high-quality teaching to students aged 14-19 with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, ADHD, and other behavioural difficulties.
* Develop and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs of students.
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and support as needed.
* Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Skills Required:


* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential for this role.
* Extensive experience in teaching Maths, preferably in a similar SEN setting.
* Strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to effectively manage a department.
* Adaptability and flexibility to meet the varying needs of students and respond to challenges.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the educational and emotional development of young people.
