The Role:
They are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of KS5 to lead their outstanding department. This pivotal role involves not only the academic and pastoral oversight of their Sixth Form students but also the strategic development of their post-16 provision. The ideal candidate will be an experienced teacher, preferably in a core subject, with a proven track record of leadership and a passion for driving educational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategic planning and day-to-day management of the Sixth Form, ensuring a culture of high expectations and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the delivery of the curriculum, ensuring it meets the needs of all students and prepares them for higher education and future careers.
  • Provide outstanding pastoral care, supporting student wellbeing and fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Lead and manage the Sixth Form team, inspiring and motivating staff to achieve excellence.
  • Engage with parents, higher education institutions, and the wider community to enhance the opportunities available to our students.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK, preferably in a core subject.
  • Significant teaching experience with a track record of delivering outstanding outcomes.
  • Previous leadership experience within a secondary or post-16 setting preferred but NOT essential.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to inspire and lead a team towards achieving shared goals.
