My client have just had sign off on a newly created opportunity for a Head of International Tax to join their team in the UK. This is a stand-alone position that has come about due to the company building out their tax function. This role will cover a broad range of International Tax and will be reporting directly into the CFO.

The successful candidate will play an essential role in overseeing and managing all aspects of their tax compliance and reporting activities on an international level.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage relationships with external advisors, auditors, and government authorities to ensure timely compliance and resolution of tax-related issues.
  • Oversee the preparation and filing of all required international tax returns
  • Assisting the wider finance team in the quarterly financial planning and budgeting processes.
  • Provide training and support to the finance team and ensure they have a comprehensive understanding of tax compliance requirements
  • Manage and coordinate annual Group Tax Audits

Experience:

  • ACA/ACCA/CTA Qualified within International Tax
  • Experience working in an international environment
  • Experience of corporate tax, VAT/GST reporting
  • Confident displaying leadership and professionalism whilst being approachable and having duty of care for direct reports
