4c is representing an independently owned and managed food manufacturing company with a strong, well stablished brand built over their 50 years’ experience in their market sector.

Having experienced fantastic growth in the recent past, and about to embark upon another exciting period of investment and growth, our client is seeking to appoint a Head of HR who will lead, manage, and develop the HR function of the business, creating and delivering a robust HR strategy which will focus on staff recruitment, development and retention and will establish clear HR policies and procedures, supporting the board and senior management to make strategic decisions.

Reporting to the Finance Director and board, the Head of Human Resources role will be wide ranging role, encompassing both the delivery of day to day best practice HR services and the strategic development of the HR service to support the growth of the business by adding value and minimising risks.


The Head of HR will have:

  • Significant experience working at a senior HR role within a medium to large manufacturing organisation with responsibilities of creating and delivering a comprehensive HR strategy.
  • Track record of creating and delivering HR activities which are aimed at positioning a company as an employer of choice, building strategic partnerships with key external stakeholders including, but not limited to, universities, regional colleges, and further education bodies.
  • Evidence of leading and successfully implementing strategic staff surveys, providing crucial input to senior leadership team and board in order to support business critical decisions.
  • Solid working knowledge of employment legislation affecting employees and employers in NI coupled with proven experience of providing strategic input to mid and senior leadership team as well as briefing a board of directors.
  • Proven experience of confidently engaging with employees from shop floor to director level.
  • CIPD qualified level 5 (associate level).
