Head of Financial Accounts

Castlefield are currently partnered with a large company in the Sheffield area who are looking to appoint a new Head of Financial Accounts on a permanent basis. Please keep in mind that this role is for qualified accountants only.

This role will responsible for all aspects of financial accounting, including preparation of the Annual Reports and Financial Statements. This role will also provide expert advice and ensure compliance with internal and external stakeholders as well as being the lead contact for the external audit.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing all aspects of financial accounting including preparation of the annual report and financial statements
• Be the technical lead for the University throughout year end and audit
• Manage and lead 6 direct reports however have overall responsibility for a team of 35 (mainly ledger staff)
• Ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory financial requirements
