Trinity House are exclusively working with an established, growing Business based in the Worcestershire area. This is a critical role, bringing rigour and structure to the finance function and helping to professionalise the business further.

This role is suited to a professional who can build out strong finance processes and manage effectively. The Business has an already gone through an ERP transformation with Finance, operations, and standard procedures becoming ever more digitalised.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Full ownership of the P&L, Balance Sheet and Management Reporting
  • Ensuring accuracy of information and timely reporting. Preparation of monthly accounts and commentary.
  • Responsibility for the day-to-day activities of the Finance department, including AP, AR, transactional and management accounts.
  • Maintain a robust financial control framework with adequate systems and controls and developing a culture of best practice. Consolidation of process, reporting timescales and controls across the group’s entities.
  • Lead the statutory accounts process across the group’s entities and act as the main point of contact for liaising with external stakeholders such as audit and tax.
  • Act as an ERP champion looking to develop and imbed understanding and use of the ERP system across the business.
  • Production of key reports, and detailed analysis
  • Ensure profitability is maximised in conjunction with the management team. Further develop profitability reporting for the retail business, generating understanding of mix, supplier performance and product quality affecting margin.
  • Represent Finance in monthly management meetings, and update the senior leadership team on performance.

Person

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build, develop and maintain relationships.
  • Technically strong, and ability to lead from the front, building confidence and trust.
  • Ability to confidently balance hands on working with higher level reporting.
  • Analytical skills and a high level of attention to detail.

Up to £80,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus
