Interim Head of Finance | Public Sector | Remote working with occasional office trips

Castlefield Recruitment are currently working in partnership with a Public Sector organisation who are looking to identify a Head of Finance to join their team on an initial 6 month interim basis (strong possibility for extension). This role can be performed fully remotely with occasional trips to the London-based office.

The Head of Finance will have 4 direct reports, each with teams under them. The organisation is currently going through a restructure so the ability to work and manage the team within a changing environment is important.

Duties;

  • The role will be responsible for leading a customer-focussed, value adding business partnering teams across Social Care, Education, and Place
  • Building influential relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation’s Service areas, at a strategic level
  • Demonstrating an understanding of financial expertise to these senior stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making
  • Supporting the development of effective financial strategies to ensure statutory financial duties are met and the organisation is able to deliver its strategic priorities

The person;

  • Fully Qualified with experience developed across the Public Sector
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to build key relationships at senior level
  • Strong leadership skill set
