Our Client
Our client is a long-standing successful member of the agricultural community with a strong set up and ambitious plans that embrace the latest research and science alongside their credible experience.
They are looking to recruit a self-motivated and enthusiastic Head of Finance to provide excellent reporting and detailed management accounts.
Head of Finance- The Role
As Head of Finance, you will work alongside the Partners to manage financial projects and growth with forensic attention to detail.
Specifically, you will:
- Produce accurate and timely management accounts and financial reports;
- Develop financial models to support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow;
- Ensure compliance with accounting, regulatory and industry standards;
- Identify risks and implement strategies to mitigate them;
- Prepare budgets, forecasts and variance analysis to enable strategic decision-making;
- Monitor cash and prepare cash flow forecasts;
- Manage the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Payroll function;
- Provide strong administrative support & manage small finance/admin team;
- Provide information and support to internal teams and external stakeholders as required;
- Assist with ad hoc finance projects.
The Successful Applicant
You will ideally be a qualified accountant who has worked in a similar role in an SME or someone looking to move from practice with existing farming experience, who can bring ambition and enthusiasm to this exciting role.
Requirements include:
- ACCA/CIMA/ACA (QBE and AAT also considered);
- Experience of preparing management accounts and budgets;
- A good understanding of accounting concepts (double entry/accruals/ prepayments etc);
- Farming / Agricultural experience an advantage;
- Good Excel skills;
- A detailed and analytical mind with excellent attention to detail;
- Excellent communicator and a strong team player;
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills;
- Ability to multitask and manage deadlines.
