Harmonic are delighted to be working on a retained business with one of the most exciting and fast growth live entertainment businesses, that combine theatre, music and dining into a unique package for their guests. This Head of Finance role will be the first senior hire for the company, illustrating the exciting next phase of growth our client is experiencing.

The Business:

Founded by 3 entrepreneurs with a career in and a lifelong love of the performing arts and music space, this business has gone from strength to strength since inception 6 years ago. Entering into its next growth stage, the business is transitioning from a collection of pop up sites to having their own permanent, flagship cite in the heart of London's West End. Plans are currently in place that will see further expansion into the rest of the United Kingdom, underpinning the ambition and goals for the next 3 - 5 years.

With turnover at circa £10 million, boasting 30% revenue growth year-on-year, our client our on a fantastic financial footing enabling the next stage of their development. With headcount at 25, the business is proud to have retained their tight knit culture revolving around a love of live music and the arts. Our client is also unique in the fact they stand alone in their industry, boasting an entirely independent and profitable artist-led company, that has now served over 50,000 guests, gathering countless 5* reviews in the process!

The Role:

As the first senior hire in the finance team, this will be a fantastic opportunity to have real influence on the direction of the business. With an incoming finance manager due to be starting the role soon handling the AP and AR duties, this role will be focused on setting up strong financial processes and systems, while working closely with the directors to enact their visions. As such, the position will be highly commercial in nature. While a hybrid working policy is in place, this role will suit outward facing candidates who enjoy working in a tight knit team well.

The Duties:

  • Work closely with directors on financial strategy.
  • Annual budget and forecast preparation across departments, identifying cost-reduction opportunities.
  • Advise on the financial viability of new business development.
  • Lead on financing options, including leasing and debt finance.
  • Adopt an approach of continuous improvement suitable for a fast-growth business.
  • Manage cash flow, treasury and working capital to minimise risk.
  • Production of monthly Group management accounts and year-end statutory accounts.
  • Regular business partnering with other departments in the business

What we need to see (essential):

  • ACA / CIMA / ACCA Qualified
  • Outward facing personality with a love of the performing arts / creative space

What we need to see (bonus):

  • Experience in either hospitality, food & beverage, live entertainment / events / venue sectors

Salary: up to £95,000 (potential flex for ideal candidate) + bonus
