Head of Finance - Stockport - circa £45,000 + Benefits (Full / Part-time considered)

Bayman Atkinson Smythe are delighted to be working a leading charity based in Stockport that supports and enriches the lives of those with a disability.

The charity itself is entering an exciting phase of change but is also aware of some of the major challenges the sector as a whole is facing. To assist with this, they are looking to strengthen a talented Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and appoint a commercially minded, people centric Head of Finance.

Responsibilities :

  • Lead, develop and support a dedicated finance team.
  • Long term financial planning.
  • Set the annual budget and report on actuals v targets.
  • Evaluate the financial impact of offering new services, capital projects, business transformation and other initiatives.
  • Produce monthly management accounts and the annual statutory accounts.
  • Treasury management.
  • Ensure a robust financial control environment.
  • Procure and implement a new financial system.

Ideally you will be a fully qualified accountant, but equally we would welcome applications from individuals who are qualified by experience or working towards a qualification. It is essential you have proven experience of delivering strategic leadership in finance, preferably (but not essentially) in the charitable sector.
