They are a fast-growth business and well-known in the industry. Their turnover stands around £12 million globally with around 100 employees, which they are looking to double in the next few years. The Role

In this role, you will play a pivotal role in steering ongoing expansion of the business and strategic initiatives. You will lead the finance team and oversee the financial reporting functions of the business and be reporting into the CFO and COO of the business.

Not only does the role revolve around management of a 4 person finance team, it also involves ensuring timely preparation of all monthly financial and management reports, budgeting, forecasting, and preparation of insightful financial commentary for discussion among the leadership team.

Responsibilities

  • To ensure monthly financial management reports are prepared on time
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of monthly accruals against budgets, forecasts
  • Prepare commentary for senior leadership discussions around company finances
  • Develop annual budget, forecasts, and oversee the bi-annual budget review process
  • Oversee and manage the preparation of annual group statutory financial statements and supervise the year-end audit
  • Ensure the completion of HRMC tax reporting requirements, PAYE and payroll
  • Business partnering with support functions
  • Drive improvement of the financial processes and systems utilized within the business
  • Support the CFO/COO with financial integration processes during M&A
  • Managing direct reports and wider finance team
  • Managing multiple studios, ensuring budgets and forecasts are precise

What we need to see

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Experience in an Architecture business
  • Strong background within a Finance Manager or Financial Controller role with a project-based business model
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Rapport3 and CMAP is preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with non-financial stakeholders

Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 + bonus + benefits

Start date: Up to 3 months notice
