HEAD OF FINANCE & CORPORATE SERVICES

MONDAY - FRIDAY: FLEXIBLE - 37.5 HOURS PER WEEK

£50,000 - £55,000 PER ANNUM, DEPENDENT ON EXPERIENCE

People Solutions are delighted to present an opportunity for a Head of Finance and Corporate Services to join our esteemed client, a registered charity based in Cardiff.

Reporting directly to the charity CEO, the purpose of this senior management role is to lead the finance, information and communication technologies (ICT), data management and governance functions, ensuring that operations are in line with the charity’s priorities and objectives.

This role incorporates many different responsibilities and internal and external relationships which includes procurement, property management, legal services, governance and compliance.

Day to Day Duties

• Act as the lead for financial governance of the charity
• Preparation and submission of annual reports, accounts, and charity commission reports
• Produce the 3-year business plan, annual budget and re-forecast for the charity
• Provide support to the Fundraising Committee in the income growth strategy and any business case financial/ commercial analysis
• Manage financial operations whilst ensuring continuous improvement of processes
• Management of all VAT and gift aid related issues including preparation for the HMRC audit
• Management of procurement processes

Essential Skills

• Accountancy Qualification (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Experience of managing a finance team
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate instructions and expectations clearly
• A DBS check will be completed for this position, you must be able to pass the check

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience within public sector, not for profit, or a charitable organisation.
• Previous experience of dealing with Gift Aid.

Training

Training will be provided 'on the job'.
