Company Overview:

Cast UK are supporting a rapidly expanding business with the recruitment process of a Head of Equipment to be based in Redditch. As Head of Equipment you will oversee the management and maintenance of our equipment fleet. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of all equipment, implementing preventive maintenance programs, and managing equipment budgets. Additionally, the Head of Equipment will lead a team, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement maintenance strategies to maximise equipment uptime and minimise downtime.
• Establish and maintain preventive maintenance schedules and procedures.
• Manage equipment procurement, including vendor selection, negotiations, and contract management.
• Monitor equipment performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
• Lead, mentor, and motivate a team, providing training and development opportunities as needed.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with other departments to optimise equipment utilization and support production goals.

Key skills required:

• Proven experience in equipment management, maintenance, or a similar role.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and techniques.
• Familiarity with equipment monitoring systems and maintenance software.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
