Milk Education is thrilled to announce an exceptional opportunity for a Head of Drama to join a dynamic Drama department. We are in partnership with a prestigious Trust who are seeking the above position to join them in the Easter term. This school is dedicated to providing outstanding educational experiences that empower students and educators alike. Position Overview:

As the Head of Drama partnered working within this school, you will lead the drama department with passion and vision. You will collaborate with a dedicated team and the school staff to deliver engaging drama programs, inspire creativity, and cultivate a love for the performing arts among students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a dynamic and inclusive drama curriculum that aligns with national standards and educational objectives.

  • Lead and support drama teachers, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.

  • Coordinate theatrical productions, workshops, and extracurricular activities, fostering collaboration and showcasing students' talents.

  • Create a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore their creativity, express themselves, and develop essential skills.

  • Collaborate with school leadership and the Trust's staff to enhance drama education and promote the arts within the school community.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Drama, Performing Arts, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.

  • Previous experience in teaching drama, with a proven track record of success in curriculum development, student engagement, and theatrical production.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate colleagues, students, and parents.

  • Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in drama education and the school community.
