Academics are working with a thriving secondary school which is situated just a short drive from Chelmsford. They are urgently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Head of Drama to join them in April, on a permanent contract.

This is an inclusive school that respects diversity and teaches students to be broadminded. They build resilience in their students by giving them the tools to embrace challenges, learn from setbacks and manage their emotional wellbeing.

The successful applicant will be supported by the SLT line manager and will lead a team of committed and highly talented drama specialists. You will provide strategic leadership to your team, with a clear focus on continuing to drive improvements in teaching, curriculum design and student progress across the department. As such, this role will prepare candidates for onward progression to senior leadership positions.
