Head of Design

Salt are working with a Fintech scale-up disrupting the payments and payroll industry through a unique web and mobile app product allowing international workers to better manage their finances.

They are looking for their first Head of Design to partner closely with leaders across Product, Research and Tech with experience at some of the UK's most successful Fintech's like Monzo and Wise. The role would suit an experienced Senior, Lead or Principal Designer, happy to get hands on with taking Design principles from an early stage, creating best practice around the Design org, whilst ensuring brand continuity and first-in class UX/UI.

Your initial focus will be on re-launching their mobile app and card product from scratch, acting as a growth lever across the two-sided product, engaging users and ensuring the product is one their customers cannot live without.

This offers an excellent opportunity to have a tangible impact on Design in a fast paced scale-up whilst providing career progression opportunities in the near future to grow a Design Org from scratch.

Here are some key pieces of experience they are looking for:

• Proven track record of designing products across mobile and web in a tech or Fintech scale-up.
• Experience building cutting edge UX and UI for customers, demonstrating compelling vision, principles, process and frameworks with visually appealing UI and branding.
• Ruthless ability to prioritise.
• Experience in a tech start-up/ scale-up is essential.
• Comfort with being "hands-on" but with a desire to manage a team in the near future.

As part of the interview process, you'll meet with their Principal UX researcher, deep dive through parts of your portfolio you're particularly proud of with their CPTO and a PM and as part of the final round, speak with their CEO and CCO.

The role can be fully remote if desired but they have a London Office for those wanting some face time on a weekly basis.
