As the Head of MFL Department, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring a continuous and enriching linguistic journey for students from their starting point in year 7, guiding them through to mastery at GCSE and beyond. You will lead a growing team of language teachers, fostering excellence in language acquisition and cultural understanding.
The ideal candidate for the Head of MFL Department role will:
- Have knowledge and understanding of second language acquisition to help all students succeed.
- Be a highly effective teacher with an exceptional understanding of curriculum design.
- Be supportive of others and openly share best practises.
- Embrace a forward-thinking approach to both curriculum intent and implementation, providing carefully sequenced high-quality learning experiences for students.
