Come join us as our new Head of Commercial (Plumbing & Heating) where you'll shape the entire plan from scratch for a brand new business proposition. You'll decide where we're heading, set goals, figure out how to sell our product offering, and guide a brand new team. The Role:
As a Head of Commercial (Plumbing & Heating), you’ll create the proposition, design its strategy, as well as decide the direction of travel through its objectives, targets, route to market, USP and the products that are being sold. This is a pivotal role for a dynamic and visionary person to manage an exciting new proposition and build a high performing, highly effective team. You’ll have the opportunity to be part of the senior team that define, build and launch the business with the ability to influence everything from customer proposition to ways of working!
Key Responsibilities:

Non residential proposition conceptualisation will be a key element of the role. Conduct market research to identify gaps, opportunities and customer preferences, allowing you to align decisions to the business needs. Where required, collaborate with other departments and leaders in the business to review and build upon ideas.
Clearly articulate the value proposition, features and benefits of the new offering. Work closely with other teams such as Commercial, to outline specifications and functionalities as well as identify KPIs to measure success against.
Develop a comprehensive route to market strategy, considering demographics, channels and competitive landscape. Collaborate with marketing teams to create compelling messaging and positioning strategies.
Develop a detailed business plan outlining revenue projections, budget requirements and resource allocation. Work closely with Finance stakeholders to ensure financial feasibility and alignment with organisational goals.
Build and manage a team proficient in working across a Matrix structure, fostering collaboration across multiple departments including Commercial, Marketing, Sales, and Operations. Encourage an innovative work culture, promoting open communication and creative thinking. Provide mentorship and guidance to team members to ensure successful proposition execution. 
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to create a compelling go-to-market strategy and monitor and investigate the performance of the proposition post-launch, making adjustments as needed.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with Non Residential supply base, equipment suppliers, contractors, and service providers. Negotiate contracts and monitor vendor performance to ensure adherence to agreed-upon terms.
Ensure that all Non Res projects and operations comply with legal regulations. Stay informed about changes in regulations and update policies and procedures accordingly. Ensure that the wider team are upskilled in any changes to mitigate any legal risk.

This is a hybrid-based opportunity with up to 2-3 days per week in the office.
You should be based in the UK and our Head Offices are in Crick (Northampton).

Skills and competencies:

Responsible for making choices under your own initiative.
Able to manage the launch and growth of a new business through development of a clear strategy and customer proposition.
Sales or Category management experience within the Commercial P&H sector.
A keenness to work together as a team, leading by example.
Superb influencing skills, both through sales and mentoring a brand new team.
