Head of Asset Management

Fixed-Term Contract (12 months Maternity Cover)

Responsibilities:

Provide support and expert advice to various Council departments including Children's, Adults, Housing, Libraries, Education, and Parks.

Collaborate closely with external partners, such as the NHS, to manage the Council's asset portfolio effectively.

Identify and implement opportunities to generate savings and create revenue and capital opportunities from the Council's assets.

Advise on all aspects of leasing and general estate management to both internal and external clients.

Produce and present detailed reports to senior management and cabinet members.

Quickly and accurately turn around reports as required by the Council.

Qualifications:

MRICS qualified with relevant experience.

Strong background in handling all Landlord and Tenant issues.

Experience in operational and educational buildings preferred.

Proficient in managing a diverse asset portfolio across multiple sectors like nurseries, playgrounds, parks, libraries, community hubs, schools, depots, and day centers.

Key Skills:

Excellent attention to detail.

Strong reporting and presentation skills.

Ability to handle a high-volume, varied workload effectively.

Strong communication and negotiation skills.
