Based in the Exeter, Weston-Super-Mare or Tolvaddon office (with hybrid working and travel across the region to attend meetings)

The Role

As the Head of Asset Investment, you will oversee the delivery of our investment programmes to improve our existing homes.

This senior-level role will see you have oversight of around £35m worth of housing and service improvements across the South West. Whilst you will be based from one our regional offices in Weston or Exeter, you will spend some time visiting improvement sites and liaising with teams on the ground to ensure we are delivering the highest quality of improvements where they are required.

Leading a high-performing team of Regional Asset Managers and Project Managers, you will deliver safe, affordable, high-quality services that align with our goals and strategic outcomes. You will guide decision-making and ensure consistent high levels of customer satisfaction with residents feeling safe and secure in their homes.

You will deliver an optimised programme and provide contract management to enhance overall business value, working with the Head of Commercial to ensure investments are supported by a supply chain with the capacity to deliver our strategic priorities.

Additionally, you will:

- Manage budgets, forecasting, profiling, monitoring and reporting
- Produce high-quality performance and assurance reports
- Ensure compliance with legislation, regulation and other requirements
- Provide advice and guidance across teams

About you

To be considered as our Head of Asset Investment, you will need:

- Experience leading an Asset Investment Team, preferably in the housing sector
- Experience of contract management, project and programme management
- Experience of information management, ensuring the flow of information balances governance requirements and business efficiency
- The ability to plan, track and forecast income and expenditure against relevant budgets
- The ability to analyse business information and formulate metrics that deliver permanent or consolidated progress
- A commercial approach demonstrating excellent commercial judgement and an understanding of business requirements
- Knowledge of relevant health, safety and environmental legislation
- A built environment professional membership i.e., MCIOB/ MRICS or similar
