Financial Planning - Head of Advice
Working hours: 9am to 5:30pm
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 plus quarterly performance bonus, OTE of £90,000-£105,000

We are proud to support this holistic Financial Planning firm in Leeds, built on a reputation of delivering clear, empowering Financial Advice to help its clients reach its goals and financial well-being.

As Head of Advice, you will lead the team of Financial Advisers and the support team (paraplanners and administrators) to ensure a consistent delivery of compliant, quality, client-focused advice.

This key role will be a part in shaping the advice strategy, drive business performance whilst maintaining regulatory compliance and ethical standards.

You will focus on the delivery of the teams’ overall objectives and targets, whilst operating within the established procedures. Working closely with the Senior Leadership team, you will play a vital role in the business’s growth and expansion plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing and leading the team by promoting a culture of collaboration, efficiency, and continuous improvement, to achieve business targets.
  • Spearheading efforts to optimise operational processes, workflows, and systems to enhance overall efficiency, whilst looking at ways to reduce costs.
  • Collaborating with the senior management team to develop and implement strategic plans that align with the company's overall objectives and growth initiatives.
  • Streamline processes to enhance the overall client experience.
  • Embracing and implementing technological solutions to streamline operations, improve accuracy, and stay current with industry advancements.
  • Monitoring performance metrics to assess and improve operational effectiveness.
  • Addressing operational challenges promptly, providing solutions, and fostering a proactive problem-solving environment.
  • Facilitating effective communication and collaboration between different departments within the company to ensure seamless coordination and information flow.
  • Keep abreast of new product, technical, and legislative changes within the marketplace.
  • Provide mentorship and training to the Financial Advisers, contributing to the development of their skills and knowledge.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to regulatory requirements and standards, playing a key role in maintaining the organisation's compliance with financial regulations.
  • Identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational risks to safeguard the organisation's financial health and reputation.

Person Specification
Qualifications

  • Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (minimum) and Degree educated


Your previous experience

  • You will have experience leading and motivating teams to achieve collective goals, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Demonstrated substantial experience providing financial advice and achieving/exceeding relevant KPIs.
  • Previous experience in mentoring and training Financial Advisers, contributing to the development of skills and knowledge within the team.
  • A strong understanding of financial products, industry regulation and market dynamics.
  • Proven ability to identify and cultivate new business opportunities, expanding the client base and contributing to the firm's growth objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to evolving market conditions, regulatory changes, and technological advancements, ensuring agility and resilience in a dynamic industry landscape.
  • Experience in implementing effective client retention strategies, fostering long-term relationships and maximising client satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Familiarity with financial planning software and tools, enabling efficient analysis, modelling, and presentation of financial plans to clients.
  • A strong network within the financial services industry, facilitating collaboration, knowledge sharing, and potential business partnerships.
