Based in Wakefield, this is an exceptional opportunity for an individual who is looking to join An Award-Winning International Humanitarian Charity and drive their Fundraising efforts forward!

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Management:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive Community Fundraising strategy aligned with the charity’s goals, focusing on Community Fundraising, Partnerships, and Events.

• Collaborate with other departments to identify and disseminate relevant Appeals for fundraising purposes, ensuring effective utilisation by Community Fundraising Representatives, Marketing Directors, and at Events.

• Recruit, retain, and manage a proficient and agile team within the Fundraising Department nationwide.

• Implement and ensure adherence to Penny Appeal policies and procedures across the department.

• Strategically manage and oversee the Fundraising Department budget, specifically Community Fundraising and Events.

• Represent the department in pertinent organisational meetings and maintain a professional presence at community events.

• Lead efforts in building and nurturing relationships, expanding our donor database, and networking to facilitate sustained growth and donor retention.

• Develop and conduct training programs to empower departmental staff in line with the overarching fundraising strategy.

• Stay abreast of fundraising best practices, comply with relevant legislation, and enforce high standards of practice within the department.

Income Generation:

• Direct and evaluate all Community Fundraising activities and Events, striving to meet annual income targets in collaboration with the Director of Fundraising.

• Explore, evaluate, and manage new income streams for the charity.

• Monitor and review income generation within the Fundraising and Events Departments, diversifying fundraising activities across multiple streams.

• Research and implement innovative approaches to Community Fundraising and Events.

• Plan and execute field trips to augment fundraising efforts and spearhead various events to raise funds.

• Develop and execute strategies to maintain robust relationships with donors, ensuring a consistent flow of donations.

• Actively seek sponsorship opportunities for Events and Community Fundraising activities to optimise cost savings.

• Foster relationships with third-party organisations to leverage income generation opportunities.
