As the Head Chef you will be managing a small team and catering for 50 people per day cooking with fresh produce. You will be responsible for planning menus (including theme days
and events), costing, ordering, stock control, rotas, training, health and safety and all relevant records.
You should be a confident leader who is used to managing a busy kitchen. You should have an NVQ level 3 in Catering Services or similar, a Level 3 in Food Hygiene, Supervisory Experience, good knowledge of COSHH and Health and Safety. You should also understand texture modification and Management of Allergens. You should have a good track record in supporting and developing the team and be able to create a positive working environment.
Experience in a care home together with a restaurant / Hotel background would be ideal. They would like someone who can bring ideas and flair to the cooking.
Hours of work
-5/7 days per week
-Alternate weekends
-8am-3.30pm / 10am-6pm shifts
