On behalf of Newham University Hospital, we are currently seeking a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist with experience in Haematology and Blood Transfusion to join their team. This is a locum position with day shifts scheduled from Monday to Friday, totaling 37.5 hours per week, including a 1-hour unpaid lunch break.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The initial 6 weeks will involve intensive training between 09:00-17:30, focusing on routine Haematology, Coagulation, and Blood Transfusion, with an expectation to complete section competencies.
  • Subsequently, candidates will be rostered for a combination of early shifts (08:00-16:30) and late shifts (11:30-20:00).

Requirements:

  • HCPC Registered Biomedical Scientist
  • Band 6 Biomedical Scientist with Haematology and Blood Transfusion experience.
  • Ability to work day shifts, Monday to Friday.
  • Commitment to completing section competencies during the initial training period.
  • Flexible availability for early and late shifts.

Pay Rate: £22-£24 per hour
