Haematology Application Specialist
Salary: £51,000 + 32% of salary + Company Car
Permanent Position
Location: Field Based, UK and Ireland
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, between 08:30-17:30 Monday to Friday
  
Our client is a leading provider of diagnostic solutions, committed to improving healthcare outcomes. We are recruiting a dedicated and skilled Haematology Application Specialist to join our clients’ dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a field-based capacity, providing essential support and expertise to customers across the UK and Ireland.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide onsite customer support, including training, installation, and troubleshooting of haematology equipment.
  • Conduct joint visits with Haematology Technical Manager or Field Service Engineer to assist with technical investigations.
  • Verify newly installed equipment and ensure compliance with laboratory standards.
  • Deliver customer training courses both onsite and remotely via webinar applications.
  • Maintain and update training course material to reflect industry best practices.
  • Respond to telephone support queries within defined time scales, ensuring accurate call recording and logging.
  • Administer regulatory affairs and conduct full investigations of incidents within strict timeframes.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science or similar field.
  • Greater than 5 years’ experience in a laboratory environment or equivalent.
  • Depth of experience in haematology.
  • Technical and logical problem-solving capability.
  • Reading and understanding of scientific and technical documentation.
  • Full driving license.
  • Experience in a commercial environment and knowledge of laboratory LIMS systems preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; experience with Flow Cytometry, ISO15189:2022, and Digital Morphology platforms is advantageous.
