Marks Sattin are delighted to be working with a leading contruction company based in Sheffield to recruit a Group Tax Manager.

Reporting directly to the CFO, the Group Tax Manager will be responsible for the management of Group taxes and the tax control environment. This is a standalone tax role and offers exposure to a range of matters including corporation tax, VAT, CIS, SAO, land remediation and payroll taxes.

In order to be successful you will ideally be ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified and have a background in tax in either practice or industry. In addition to technical expertise, it is essential that you possess outstanding interpersonal skills in order to establish strong working relationships with key stakeholders. You will be the subject matter expert for tax and deliver training to the business to ensure compliance and best practices. You will also work closely with external advisors and be the main point of contact for HMRC.

The successful candidate will be rewarded with an excellent starting salary, company car or car allowance and discretionary on target bonus of 15%. There are excellent additional benefits such as private medical scheme and a share pension plan. the business also encourages professional develoment.
