Group Reporting & Controls Manager, International Media Conglomerate, London, £85-£95k + benefits

This international, well-established Media & Marketing conglomerate are looking for a Group Reporting & Controls Manager to work closely with the wider UK Finance team including the Operational, Reporting and Commercial arms

With a plethora of household named clients, they are at the forefront of the industry. Reporting directly into the Finance Director you will be responsible for supporting the team in creating a best-in-class finance function, developing our controls, processes and the foundations for our continued growth.

This role offers brilliant visibility within the business, with exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to drive key projects as the business continues to scale.


Key responsibilities:

  • Financial Controls; Support SLT in evaluating the UK Control environment, ensuring reporting processes are compliant and continue to develop a best in class reporting suite
  • Audit; leading across both Internal and External audits, including Interim Audit and Statutory Audits (including US GAAP)
  • Finance Operations; manage finance operations across UK & Ireland with a focus across reporting, including variance analysis and commentary in line with reporting timetables
  • Statutory Accounting; overseeing the statutory accounts and tax compilations in line with internal timetables
  • Change Management; ability to deal with and lead team through evolving change
  • Optimisation; work closely with the Finance Director on change initiatives and ad hoc tasks, including driving continued automation, optimisation and simplification of finance processes

Essentials

  • Qualified, practice trained ACA with 3+ years post qualified experience within industry
  • Proven technical accounting acumen
  • Ability to lead a team within an ever evolving, dynamic organisation
  • Ability to work well under pressure, working accurately with attention to detail, and meeting deadlines

Desirables

  • Experience with US GAAP
  • SAP and DDS Systems knowledge
