A large business based in Runcorn n the Widnes area is recruiting for a qualified Group Reporting Accountant, who is either a 1st or 2nd mover from Audit.

Reporting to the Group Reporting Manager you will be responsible for group consolidation, balance sheet and cash flow. You will collaborate with the Group Reporting Manager to ensure accurate and timely completion of group accounting and reporting tasks. Establishing and maintaining robust financial processes, support and oversee existing financial activity and manage the financial integration of new businesses.

As Group Reporting Accountant your role will involve:

  • Preparation of consolidated IFRS group accounts and UK statutory accounts for subsidiary companies.
  • Managing inter-company reconciliations.
  • Consolidating forecasts, budgets, and long-term plans, along with supplementary group reporting including cashflow and net working capital analysis.
  • Coordinating management reporting packs for the UK and German boards.
  • Handling corporation tax accounting and submissions, including liaison with tax advisors.
  • Coordinating the annual external audit process and ensuring compliance with statutory reporting obligations.
  • Providing training and guidance to the Management Accounts team and supporting with technical finance matters.
  • Acting as a key contact for Group Finance and mentoring the Assistant Reporting Accountant.

To apply for the position you must:

  • Be ACA or ACCA qualified
  • Have worked in Audit
  • Experience of coaching team members.
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines
  • The ability to influence colleagues at all levels.
  • Experience of supporting and embedding the financial elements of transformational change.
  • Full understanding of the compliance and legislation associated with financial reporting.
