Are you a Group Maintenance Engineer seeking an exciting new opportunity to showcase your skills?
My client is a leading manufacturing, distribution and installation business who is seeking a group maintenance engineer to join the team and oversee the functionality of the facilities at their new site in Birmingham.

Role and Responsibilities:
" Provide technical support for installation and maintenance.
" Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimise downtime and enhance productivity.
" Monitor equipment performance and suggest improvements.
" Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions promptly.
" Conduct equipment upgrades as necessary.
" Stay updated with new technologies and processes.
" Ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
" Maintain comprehensive documentation for reference.
" Test and approve new equipment.
" Manage contractors and assist with equipment evaluations.
" Maintain critical spares and tools.
" Train staff and manage budgets.
" Generate reports and KPIs.

Key Skills/Attributes:
" 7+ years' experience as a time-served electromechanical engineer.
" Must have 18th edition electrical qualification.
" Experience in the steel processing industry preferred.
" Strong electromechanical diagnostic skills.
" Proficiency in service and repair of various equipment.
" Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
" Flexible to work out-of-hours as required.
" Strong communication and collaboration skills.
" Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel.
" Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
" Clean UK driving license and forklift license.
" IOSH or NEBOSH qualification preferable.
