Join a pioneering team dedicated to powering progress and fostering sustainability. Our esteemed client in the renewable energy and engineering sector is looking for a Group Financial Reporting Acountant to play a pivotal role in their financial operations form thier central London head office

Group Financial Reporting Acountant Key Responsibilities:

  • Management Reporting: Prepare detailed monthly management reports, analyze performance against budgeted P&L, and provide actionable insights.
  • Business Partnering: Serve as a strategic advisor to the Board, heads of group functions, and regional operations, influencing financial decisions and policies.
  • Technical Accounting & Audit Support: Offer expert advice on complex accounting standards like IFRS 15, ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial statements.
  • Treasury Management: Oversee cash flow, funding, and capital management, optimizing financial resources and maintaining liquidity.
  • Systems Integration: Lead the adoption of new financial technologies and systems, ensuring a smooth transition and enhanced operational efficiency.
  • Global Collaboration: Work closely with financial controllers across the business to consolidate financial data and report to the Finance Leadership Team.
  • Strategic Projects: Participate in high-level financial projects, contributing to the company's long-term strategic goals.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve financial processes, driving efficiency and standardisation across the organisation.

Qualifications, skills, and experience required:

  • Professional Credentials: Holding ACA/ACCA qualifications, with experience in coaching junior finance staff and handling audit queries.
  • Financial Reporting Expertise: Proficient in consolidation, P&L, and Balance Sheet accounting to support high-level financial reporting and budgeting processes.
  • IFRS Knowledge: Technical understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards to aid senior management and regional finance teams.
  • Financial Control Acumen: Solid grasp of financial control principles with the ability to implement and enhance them.
  • Communication & Liaison: Excellent communication skills for direct engagement with senior management and auditors.
  • Detail-Oriented: Meticulous attention to detail to provide quality financial information for Board-level decision-making.
  • Independent Work Ethic: Ability to work independently to meet internal reporting deadlines and contribute to team initiatives.
  • Diverse Financial Experience: Versatile in multi-currency consolidation, international collaboration, and various financial management tasks.
