This is a12 month Fixed Term Contract role reporting into a Financial Controller cover Maternity Leave.

As Group Financial Accountant you will be responsible for overseeing the financial accounting for this business.

Core Responsibilities will include:
Ensure the quality and accuracy of recorded transactions in the accounting system
Management of finance team responsible for AP, AR, Payroll, expenses
Leading projects to improve accounting processes and systems
Leading month-end closing process ensuring balance sheet reconciliations are prepared and reviewed
Managing accounting of core company and subsidiaries
Responsibility for certain month-end closing tasks (fixed assets ledger, accrued costs, deferred charges etc)

Ideally you will be a Qualified Accountant with experience in a similar role in a medium size organisation. You should have good knowledge of IFRS as well as experience in collaborating with cross functional teams with project delivery.

Knowledge of UK financial reporting requirements and the tax system is key, experience of Microsoft Dynamics NAV could be an advantage.

You will be a strong team player, comfortable in working in a fast-paced environment and be able to identify potential efficiency opportunities.

Paying £60-65K this is a fixed term contract role. There is flexibility on start date and currently can wait for candidates needing to give notice. It is the expectation you would be on site 2 days a week and the offices are based in North- West Essex.
