A large IT business in Central Sheffield are looking for a Group Finance Manager. This is a hands-on leadership role with a broad scope, responsible for delivering accurate and timely internal and external financial reporting for a portfolio of entities in a fast-paced rapidly growing private equity backed group.

This role requires a strong leader with an appetite to shape their growing team to deliver on process improvements and efficiencies as the group continues to grow through acquisition.

  • Manage the month end close for trading entities, and liaising with colleagues in other regions
  • Present commentary on the results of the business on a monthly basis, including analysis vs budget and trend
  • Coach and develop the accounting team of 7
  • Support with the preparation of individual entity TBs for the purpose of financial statements preparation and audit. 
  • Assist with the onboarding of regular new acquisitions, understanding legacy processes and transactions 
  • Support the AP team with the accurate and efficient coding of vendor invoices, building out controls to improve consistency in this area and prepare for growth.

You will be;

  • ACA/ACCA Qualified
  • Knowledge of technical accounting principles
  • An experienced leader that inspires the best in their team and is not afraid to roll their own sleeves up and get their hands dirty.
  • A disciplined self-starter with a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Must have a critical eye for accuracy, data integrity, process issues and improvements.
