Group Accountant
Company
International and private equity backed organisation based in Bristol now seeks to appoint a Group Accountant to support its international finance team. Working alongside the Group Financial Controller you will deliver reporting of business performance to internal and external stakeholders, working with business area owners to highlight risks, opportunities and variances to plan.
Role
Working within a diverse and high performing Group Finance environment, you will supervise monthly financial statements for the Group, including review of consolidation and management of balance sheet. You will also help to manage the month end close process across the Group and the balance sheet reconciliation process at a Group-level along with preparing Group financial statements and disclosures for external reporting at interim and year-end. A non exhaustive list of deliverables include:
- Development of a good working relationship with finance teams across the global business
- Preparation of financial information for ad hoc management requests
- Participate in various Group led projects as required
- Provision of technical accounting advice, including the drafting of accounting papers and policy documents
- Preparation of timely and accurate monthly and quarterly consolidated information for variety of stakeholders
- Assistance with audit and preparation of Group and subsidiary statutory accounts
- Contribute to ongoing programme of continuous process improvement
- Assist in Group month and quarter end close and consolidation

About You
Of graduate calibre and likely ACA qualified, you will likely bring 2-4 years post qualified experience with the ability to communicate well with senior management, business stakeholders and other finance teams. Extensive knowledge of IFRS essential (in global context (eg multinational/Large Private or PE etc) along with strong technical accounting knowledge is key along with experience working in a fast paced environment, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
