To allocate, supervise and oversee the work of the Grounds Team at the College campuses as agreed with the Grounds Supervisor.

To work within the Grounds Team undertaking general maintenance and development of the College grounds and sports pitches at the College campuses as agreed with the Grounds Supervisor.

The College has campuses at Cannington, Bridgwater and Taunton and further residential accommodation at Trull.

Job Responsibilities
To deputise for the Grounds Supervisor as/when needed
To act as Team Leader for the Grounds Staff and apprentices in their duties and provide direction as required by the Grounds Supervisor.
To assist the Grounds Supervisor in preparing maintenance, development & project plans
To implement work schedules/plans
To carry out grounds maintenance & development as required
To operate horticultural machinery
Liaise with the College Facilities & Maintenance Teams about Estates matters/issues
To ensure the tidiness of horticultural storage areas
To assist with enquiries from students and members of the public
To carry out all operations in line with the College Environmental and Health & Safety policies
To undertake such other duties as may (reasonably) be required of you in the post and section mentioned above or in another post in any of the College's other sections or areas
