Grounds Maintenance Operative

We are currently hiring for a Grounds Operative for our large client in Bridgwater, Somerset. This role is due to start ASAP until the end of October currently, with potential of further work. The purpose of this role is to undertake a wide range of horticulture and grounds maintenance duties.

Job Description: -

• To carry out varied grounds and horticultural activities including works on highways and verges, cemeteries, open spaces and landscaped areas.
• Duties include but not limited to grass cutting, de-weeding, hedge trimming and area clearing etc.
• Removal of graffiti and fly posting as well as heavy lifting
• Some work out of normal hours e.g., early morning watering, clearing up after fairs and Carnival.

Candidate: -

• desirable experience in general grounds and horticulture maintenance.
• Knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety in the workplace.
• Ability to carry out aspects of landscaping.
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Own PPE essential - work safety boots, hi-vis & gloves.

Shift Time: -

• Monday to Friday 07:30am start with 16:00 finish
• 37 hrs a week.
