Reed Talent Solutions are working in partnership with United Utilities on the search for Ground Maintenance Operative workers.

Our client:

United Utilities is the UK's largest listed water company and manages the regulated water and wastewater systems in the Northwest of England. They are committed to providing high-quality water and sewage services to over seven million people and businesses in the region.

The role:

We are seeking a diligent and dedicated Grounds Maintenance Operator. The successful candidate will play an integral role in ensuring the upkeep and aesthetic presentation of our various Wastewater treatment and Network sites. This is a hands-on position that requires a self-motivated individual who takes pride in maintaining our outdoor spaces to the highest standards.

Role details:

  • Job title: Ground Maintenance Operator
  • Contract: 6 Month Temp
  • Hourly pay rate: £12 per hour
  • Working hours: 37.5h per week.
  • Start date: ASAP
  • Recruitment process: pre-screen with Reed, CV review by United Utilities, on site interview with United Utilities

The role requires you to have a full driving licence to allow you to travel to and from the required grounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine grounds maintenance tasks, including mowing, trimming, weeding, planting, and general landscaping.
  • Operate a variety of grounds maintenance equipment safely and competently, such as lawn mowers, strimmer’s, and hedge cutters.
