We are currently recruiting a team of gardeners to assist the Parks Operations in undertaking the maintenance work in public parks, recreational grounds, and public areas in Harlow.This role will require you to carry out day-to-day duties, which will include the use of relevant gardening equipment. For example, garden strimmers, mowers, blowers and hedge cutters. The work also includes maintaining highway verges, shrub and rose beds, seasonal bedding and sports pitches.A suitable applicant would ideally have experience of working within the park's environment, landscaping or outdoor work. Experience in this sector will ideally demonstrate your reliability for the hours of work and working outside. If you are a driver, this would be advantageous.If you are enthusiastic and motivated to ensure the highest aesthetic standards through a practical frontline approach, this could be a great opportunity for you.
Hours of work will be on a flexible rota, but it will generally be 7am - 4pm Monday-Thursday and 7am - 3.30pm on a Friday. Weekend work may be required, but will be based on a shift rotation.
