Grid Connection Manager position within a leading European Independent Power Provider, working across Italy, Spain & Bulgaria. The group has over 15 years of industry presence, working across these locations to secure a pipeline of over 1.4GW.

For the last 15 years, the group has expanded their knowledge across Europe to work in new markets to develop, construct and own their assets. These have been mainly onshore wind projects, as well as Solar PV. They began their expansion into the UK 2 years ago and have already seen success with their first project enter construction this year.

They have a long term relationship with an investor in the space, as well as being traded on the stock exchange. They specialise in renewable energy projects, with their mission being at the heart of their work. This is simple; to lead the charge for renewable energy production and sale through high quality, and being a reliable partner.

Now they have expanded to the UK and ROI they are looking to double the team throughout this year. With the wider organisations support and key management with knowledge of the UK & ROI market, this growth is a really exciting time to join this group. The UK team is relatively entrepreneurial as it grows, and yet you'd have the support of wider design teams that work on the Southern Europe projects. You'd also be present to see the team expand even more throughout this year, able to play a crucial part in this growth.

The role:
This opportunity is a crucial position for the team as they have ambitious plans for growth throughout the coming years. They aim to expand their pipeline with an additional 200MW year on year through their own developments as well as project acquisitions.

This role is a real blend of technical and commercial, and you'll have scope to broaden the position even further due to the entrepreneurial nature of the team.

The main attributes you'll need to have are:
- Understanding of the UK grid codes, completing G99 applications.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders (wider design and development teams, DNOs, TOs, and ICPS.)
- Experience with non-contestable designs and Balance of Plants- the ability to complete these would be advantageous, but interpretation would also be suitable.
- Ability to liaise with DNOs and TSO
- Ability to manage the existing grid portfolio and to expand on this.
