Trainee Tax Advisor

Package: £22,000 per annum + ATT and/or CTA qualification training.

Our client is a leading provider of Tax Investigation Insurance and has a history of working with Accountancy Practices going back over 20 years. With a fresh and dynamic approach, our Business Advisory clients services extend to consultancy support, training, seminars, technical resource and wider business support. Alongside this our client provides unrivalled support from their dedicated Tax, VAT, Payroll, Employment, HR, Health & Safety and Commercial Legal Advice Lines.

Your role

You will be placed on a 3-year development programme which will ensure your Tax knowledge is second to none working alongside other Tax professionals with access to the most up to date and accurate information, laws, legislation and guidance. Within the first few months you will gain experience in all areas of the business with ongoing tax training before beginning your ATT/CTA training. All course fees are covered, leaving you to earn whilst you learn! You'll also have structured study support with two afternoons of scheduled leave each week.

Job Overview

You will predominantly work in our clients Tax department joining the existing team of over 45 advisers and consultants providing support both internally and externally; to the team and to customers over the telephone and via email. You will work within a team environment with the opportunity to generate consultancy and referrals for the business.

The ideal candidate will be an Accounting, Law or Business student or graduate who is seeking a training programme with prospects, or alternatively has begun tax training within an accountancy practice or can demonstrate a strong educational background.

Ideally you will have some customer service based work experience (telephone based would be perfect!) and bring a flexible and committed approach

Would suit someone who enjoys investigating and problem solving with a keen eye for accuracy. You'll need to be methodical in your approach, with strong information retention and good numerical ability. There will be lots of communication involved so you'll need strong skills, both written and verbal.
